Last day of this years AEDM. Many thanks to Leah who runs this fun meme and puts a lot of work into this. I have posted every day  and today I thought I should share a little about myself. I turned 70 this week, not fun at all. Don´t know how that happened really. Where did all those years go?

I am sitting on a weight bench. A tool I have been using for 30 years. My back and shoulders needs it.  Without this regular exercise I could not use the heavy camera the way I do.

Anyway. This image share my new art wall. Earlier I had some of my mothers paintings hanging there, but now I decided that I want to look at my own art for a couple of years. I still have a few of my mothers art, my favorites, in another room.  :)  So far I have these art posters and three more. And I will ad even more on other walls. The images are created with images from many corners of the world as I´m a traveler too. As much as money lets me.

I guess this has to be explained. It comes from a vision I had. Don´t remember if it was a dream of while meditating. The dark figure was supposed to be my guide. This time he ( it always felt like a male) told me they had to remove everything I had. I got pissed and bit it´s hand! The different sizes of what is me occurred like that. This was a simple, but not so easy, way to visualize it.

I woke up in the middle of the night as a strong light hit my face. It was the moon shining right on me. My window has frost on it and it created this pattern.

I thought it might be a great abstract. I used the filter Stylize/Diffuse/Anisotropic on it.
That will do for now. I will post early as I am expecting guests today.

What happened to the Winter Wren

Frustrated as it did not come out as I wanted I made a twirl out of the Little birdie so it disappeared

Next day I decided to take the Wren into the FotoSketcher

In FotoSketcher I ended up with filter  emergens and a frame

Back to CS5 I finished with filter "conte crayon" and happened to have a brown color as foreground color and white as background color.  This was the result. Seem easy enough but it was a lot of trial and error before I got it right.
I don´t think I forgot anything

And finally I was satisfied :)  Winter Wren is what I posted on my main blog yesterday.

I did not make any major changes to this image of my car. I boosted the colors obviously. Then applied the filter "Angled strokes" to give a different feeling to the sky. Ended with texture Canvas.

I have some very mixed feelings about the situation in Europe nowadays. I think I am mentally preparing for the war that seem to be unavoidable. It is likely that I will be safe where I live but still, the news and the refugees arriving affects me. I already noticed that there are areas my mind will not go. And that changes what i usually create. In a way it will be interesting to see where it leads me. But I will refuse to create the kind of madness of war that many artists do and that seem to be very popular among art knowing people. Disaster and suffering....that is ART.  Or the opposite, angels and spirits and fantasy. But that is not that popular. And that is not me. I think!
Well, I guess some artists will have a great time being inspired by the war, during the years to come. That will prevent me from visiting exhibitions.

Today my image did not turn out the way I wanted so I post it in my Image Workshop: "Bildverkstan". This twirl comes from a bird image posted in a third blog of mine HERE. ( I have too many blogs :( )

Lol, today I thought I was testing something new in CS5, but when I came to Labels I already had a label,
Guess I´m working too much, I have no clue of what I´m doing. Anyway, this filter is a way to change separate colors.

Long ago this place was a Mill driven by the water. The word "kvarn" means mill.

The cat abstract

This was quite fun. I have worked with one of these images before for other memes. SAWBLADE
And every time I looked at the thumbnail I did see a cat. So, now I created the cat!  It had to be born.
It was done in PS CS5.  I painted a few details and the main filter used was Ocean ripple.
