On old image made in another software

I finally was able to set up the sketchpad and now I try to figure out how it works. As usual not as easy as they say. Will take a while to get used to.

I used the tree above to learn to follow lines and curves. That is actually why I wanted it. Other sketch software's I have found searches for too many lines. Second image is made like that but is not overwhelmed. But later on I hopefully will be able to do something like that but with more stronger curves and less of the finer.

I had the idea of making this fungi into a skirt and maybe a top. It did not turn out as I initially figured it. From the start I thought of a fairytale story in the woods but I had no images suitable for that. I never use images of others but this is an exception as I found this woman on PIXABAY. The only one that had no sexual overtones in it and was plain and simple.

The skirt was rather easy. I used smudge tool to form the waistline and then copied a part of the bottom to create the waistband.

To form the hat I had to use the warp in order to deform the fungi to suit her head and the angle of her head. The color of the fungi was not right so I had to ad some orange color tone and a stronger tone for the sunny side of the skirt and hat. And when I was done, I realized that the hand was behind the skirt and it should be in front of it, so I had to fix that too.

It was quite fun and I learned few new trixs.

The image says it all :(
Hm, thinking of it, this reminds me of what I draw as a teenager.
Not sure if I should be happy or not.

The Shell

   CS5, WACOM

This is a flat shell I had for many years. Picked it up on a shore in New Zealand. I took a shot and actually calculated the form to get used to the WACOM. Then I added the different, colored curves and a layer with the shell coloring.

I am a bit frustrated as most pencils tend to be thinner then it looks on the screen. Maybe my image is too large. Have to try a smaller size. I obviously can´t paint sand so I kept that visible in the image. Just added a texture on it.
