For short: Bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light."

Min - my "studio"

Eftersom jag inte hade någon levande modell, utan tog en staty från Grekland, så gjorde jag min studio under databordet. Där gick det att få relativt mörkt. Jag fick ta vad jag hade för att få staty och kamera på rätt höjd gentemot varandra. Belysningen jag använde var min lilla cykellampa. Den vita som ligger på CD-fodralet. Statyn är belyst enbart med den. När jag trodde statyn var klar gjorde jag några svep med lampan för att få spåren. Gick åt lite övning men med digitala kameror gör det ju inget.

As I did not have a live model I took my little statue from Greese. It is small so I made my "studio" under my computer table where I could get it rather dark. I took what I could to get the statue and the camera positioned correctly. As a flashlight I used my little bike lamp. The white one that is on teh CD cover. he statue is lit only with that one and when I thought the statue was done I made some movements with the lamp to get the trails. It took some practice. But we got digitals so that does not matter. :)

AV  = 16 (Bländaren)
TV  = ca 30s (men stängde av kameran när det var färdigbelyst, det fungerar också. - but closed the camera when I was done.  That worked to)

Ett problem med solnedgångar är ju att kameran vill fräta ut solen. Så den oranga sol man såg blir vit på bilden. Här har jag lite enkelt fixat detta. Jag skapade ett nytt lager, tog med pipetten ett färgprov där den oranga färgen var som ljusast.och fyllde jag hela det nya lagret med den färgen. Nu är det bara att flytta det oranga lagret under fotot. Sätt Erase på ca 40 % opacitet och sudda försiktigt bort det vita på bilden. Nu framträder din oranga sol. :)

A problem with sunsets is that the camera turns the orage colored sun to white. In this photo I hae fixed it. I created a new layer, took a color-sample with the pipett on a bright orange spot and painted the entire layer with that color. Not I moved the orange layer beneath the photo. I set the Erase function to about 40% opacitet and carefully erased the area of the sun to make the orange color shine throu. :)
