Yellow Magnolia

Linking up with Floral Friday   Todays Flowers

The yellow Magnolia finally came out with one flower.
I don´t share any SOOC today. Apart from the usual contrast and vibration I masked the flower and added a texure Craquelure, to the background. To make the Magnolia shine a bit more I added a light direction filter on the flower only. That´s pretty much it!  Edit done in PS CS5.

The two images above is the original photos used for "Guarded Magnolia".

 

After cleaning up the image of the nuthatch a bit I duplicated and mirrored it. Then I converted it to a negative.  I made some color changes I don´t remember and then  applied filter Grain to finish off. But it was empty in the middle so I started to work with the Magnolia image.

 

After freeing the Magnolia from the image I made a copy and applied some filters on it and worked with the colors to get the yellow center. I wanted a nice contrast to the bird image.  But I don´t remember exactly how things happened.  Then moved the Magnolia into the image and made some final adjustments and my logo.  I doubt very much I can do it again from scratch.

Jag har jobbat i båda programmen och har inte en susning om vad jag gjort. Bara att jag inte är helt nöjd med bilden. Att jobba i CS5 är inte lätt. Svårigheten, hittills, är att förstå vilket justeringslager som gör vad och hur de påverkar resten av stacken. :(  Sedan finns det saker jag letar efter och inte hittar. Därför avslutade jag alltihop i Arc Soft.  :( I alla fall har jag använt det vanliga, saturation, kontrast och sedan Vibrance. 


I have been working in both softwares and have no clue of what I have done.  Only that I am not that satiesfied with the final image. To work in CS5 is not easy. The tough part, so far, is to understand what the adjustment layers do and how and where it applies.   Then there is thing s I look for and can´t find. :(  So I finished in Arc Soft.   I worked with the usual stuff like saturation and contrast and vibrance.

För 3:e temat behöver du en bild någon växt. Manipulera den i ett bildbehandlingsprogram så att du får en svart-vit bild. I mitt program, PhotoStudio5.5, finns det under Convert/8-bit Greyscale. I övrigt har jag förstärkt kontrasten och lagt på en Clear ram.

Gör ett inlägg med båda bilderna, orginalet + den färdiga, samt en beskrivning på vad du gjort, på din blogg. Det räcker med huvudfunktionerna. Och, förståss, länka tillbaka hit.
