I encountered these guys yesterday afternoon. It seem to be a cow with an old calf. I made a very simple edit for this image. Only cropping, contrast, Vibrance and Ink outline. Seemed to be the right thing for it.

Raining images, I need some cover

OK, PechaKucha Night, what is that you wonder? So did I. Until I was invited to do a presentation on one. Learn more on PechaKucha Night. Somebody thought there was too many too long presentations. On one of these night you have 6-7 people doing presentations. One is entitled to use 20 images that is shown 20 sec each.

So, only 10 days before the coming Night I was asked if I wanted to join and do a presentation. OOPS! So short time to fix anything. But I used the word "many images" as the person used to create mine. My title became, translated, "Images on the brain, a creative chaos!" I had to fix a storyline and 20 images in 8 days! The image above is one of them. Took a long time and lots of ideeas and work to fix it. But I made it. And it was quite fun to stand in front of 50 people sharing my "story".
I can´t share the performance but the images used can be seen in this file. MedBilderPaHjarnan
You have seen some of them before.
The day after that night I felt drained. And I still do a little. Used up a lot of my imagination :)

Last week I gave an option about taking shots from different angles to see how light changes the object. This is some kind of crocus. First image is shot from the side from sunlight point of view. Second one is back lit and the last one shot from the front with the sun behind me.

You can see how the light and shadows changes the look of the flower. None is wrong, but it gives you an opportunity to decide what you want to see and capture. All three images is SOOC.

Now it is your turn. I´m going out as our weather forecast says sunlight the entire week. That does not happen too often .

Some of you wants to learn and also have challenges. Well, I thought a great challenge would be to choose a flower or a leaf a sunny day and to take some shots from different angles. Just to see what difference it makes. If you are used to work with the camera you can also choose different settings. Giving it more or less light. Just play around to see what happens.

Today I don´t share the SOOC image because it is not that much different. I just wanted the image to look like it was painted. In this particular image CS5 filter "Rough pastels" did the trick.

I look through the window and see sunshine and a nice breeze. Temperature 10 degC. I´m going out today just enjoying the spring. So, even if I want many participants, don´t forget to enjoy the day. If nothing else, it will give you fresh images and idéas to work with.  See you later.

 Glowing Gate

This gate is an example of why you always shall have the camera ready in your pocket. I took it December 19. From what I can remember this is the only time of year this can be seen. It is neither lamps or water. It is the gate itself glowing in the low winter sun. Every other time of year the angles are wrong for this to be seen. Also, it can only be seen for a short time, maybe 10 min or so. So, no running home for the camera.

First rule: if any light catches your attention. Take a shot, it might not happen again. Next year it might be cloudy.
